This team records their lowest total in Test History

Bangladesh’s earlier lowest total was 62 against Srilanka in 2007. This disappointing record is broken by the Tigers when Bangladesh were dismissed for the lowest ever total of 43 against West Indies in North Sound, Antigua, yesterday.

However, the record for the lowest total in Test History is under New Zealand’s name when they were dismissed for a mere 26 by England in 1955.

On the first day of the first test match Windies quick Kemar Roach produced a ferocious spell of fast bowling, removing top Bangladesh batsmen- Tamin Iqbal, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah in a span of 12 balls. He became only the third cricketer alongside Monty Noble (1902) and Jacques Kallis (2002) to take five wickets in the space of 12 balls.

At 18.4 overs, the innings was just one ball longer than Australia’s dismissal for 60 off 18.3 overs by England in 2015. Australia were dismissed in 111 balls whereas Bangladesh took 112 balls.
