Few years ago Shivsena leader MLA Nilam Gorhe raised a question on very sensitive topic of Vidarbh people facing which is still unanswerable. Taking the issue seriously writer-director Raju Meshram has written and directed the story of Marathi movie ‘Zari’ which is produced by Mrs. Radha Bidkar. Recently the poster of movie ‘Zari’ has launched in the presence of Financial Minister of Maharashtra Sudhir Munguntiwar, Revenue Minister for state Sanjay Rathod, Minister of state for Industry Pravin Pote, MLA Nilam Gorhe, Jogendra Kawade, Rajendra Gawai, MLA Baliram Siraskar, MLA Vinod Bamb, MLA Ramesh Shendge, MLA Narsaiyya Adam, MLA Laxaman Tayade, MLA Subhash Thackrey, Former chief secretary J. P. Dange, Actor Anant Jog, Milind Shinde, Tukaram Bidkar, Nisha Parulekar,Namrata Gaikwad and Aniket Kelkar.
In this event, Financial Minister of Maharashtra Sudhir Munguntiwar said, “Zari movie is really appreciable because it speaks about the sensitive issue of Vidharbh.”
While speaking about the movie Revenue Minister for state Sanjay Rathod said, “India has got independence many years but still there are many such places exist which are insurmountable where basic needs are not getting fulfill and this movie Zari will be inspiration for all.”
Minister of state for Industry Pravin Pote said, “Combination of location of movie, local language of Vidharbh and hardcore problems of the people in Vidharbh is used so properly. Writer-director has chosen very effective medium of movie and made proper use of it to explain such realistic truth to people.”
Writer-Director Raju Meshram said, “Even today in India there are many insurmountable area exist. People who are living there have to fight for their day to day need. Due to poverty, illiteracy, insufficient services and impotent system these people cannot come in the presence of actual flow. Some people take their advantage, make their physical exploitation, make use of their females and force them to live shameless life. But situation is always transformable when such people stands for their rights the revolution starts in form of Zari. ”
