Gurudwara Bangla Sahib in Delhi
The Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is a famous Sikh shrine, located near Gole Post Office, New Delhi, was built in honour of Guru Har Krishan, the eighth guru of the Sikhs, who was invited by Mirza Raja Jai Singh of Amber to stay as his guest in his house. The Guru had come to meet the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.
While the Guru was staying at the Raja’s bunglow, cholera broke out in the city. A large number of people suffering from the disease came to the Guru for his blessings. They were given water from the well in the house. The place is now called Chobacha Sahib. The water is still regarded by the faithful as a cure for all diseases.
