However contrary to this, NR Rao, a BJP MLC, told ANI that during the meeting Shah said the BJP is committed to construct the Ram temple in Ayodhya and that the matter is sub judice. According to ANI, Rao said that Shah wants Ram temple to be made and hopefully the process will begin before 2019 polls.

The Supreme Court will resume the hearing of the contentious Babri Masjid-Ram Temple land temple dispute case on July 20.
