1st ODI: Australia beat India by 34 runs

A clinical effort from batsman followed by a superb spell of pace bowling from Jhye Richardson helped Australia beat India by 34 runs in the first one-day international on Saturday.

With this win Australia have taken 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series.

Chasing a tough total of 289, India could only muster 253/9 in the stipulated 50 overs as Rohit Sharma’s masterful knock of 133 went in vain.

Rohit and MS Dhoni’s  century stand after India’s top-order was rattled by the Aussie pacers.
